Hot, new French restaurants are showing up all over the place (looking at you, Verjus and Bon Délire) but none are doing seafood like Caché. Simply prepared, olive oil-kissed sea bream sashimi is served inside the fish it came from. And flaky skate with golden brown edges has an added crunch from teensy croutons. The Inner Sunset spot is an increasingly popular neighborhood destination, where fish and mollusk-fueled dates unfold in the low-lit dining room, culminating in a fudgy chocolate chip cookie with a caramelized halo to end the night (it's a whopping $23, but shareable between four).
